30th year of the Dino Tournament

As the 30th year of the Dino tournament draws to a close, I reflect on the unmatched intensity of this year's competition. With five Olympians and a diverse pool of talented athletes, the energy on the courts was electric. Despite battling rain and heat, we pushed ourselves to new limits, united by our determination and camaraderie. Meanwhile, as a photographer, capturing the raw emotion and athleticism was a thrill. Each shot freezes the electric energy fueled by these remarkable athletes. Join me on a visual journey through the highlights, where every frame tells a story of passion and love of the game.

As always David, Stephanie, Zack, and Jess put on another incredible event that will live in our hearts for ages to come. Huge thanks to all the people behind the scenes that make this tournament so fun.

Fonz!!!! you the man!!!!! Love you brother.

Big thanks to Matthew Kurtgis with Hawaii Networks for all the work he did for the live streams.

I really tried to get a photo of everyone playing. I apologize if I was not able to get one of you. Below are individuale links to each court and you can download what you like for free with no watermark.

Empact Ohana clinic at the Dino in Kauai

What a remarkable day for all involved with the Empact Ohana clinic that had 125 littles!

Pretty wild to think two weeks before the event there were only 4 kids signed up. Then several storms brought major flooding that threatened the clinic and the Dino tournament altogether. Houses were flooded, cars were underwater, and the beach was in a State of emergency.

The community really came together on this one, and Empact Ohana could not have happened at a better time. Not only did the locals need a fun break, but we started the free clinic with a quick beach clean up to help do our part. Sand Ohana personally made and gave away 75 shirts to kids and volunteers. 50 King of the beach balls and sand champ balls were donated through their sponsorship with Mikasa.

On behalf of Sand Ohana and Empact Volleyball, we would like to thank everyone who donated their time and energy to help make this happen. Special acknowledgment to the DINO, Na Opio volleyball club, and all the volunteers who helped make this a huge success. Here are some of the images from the clinic.
