Art therapy in my garage.

Discovering the artist within ourselves often comes unexpectedly, in moments of vulnerability and self-discovery. I never imagined I could be an artist; I lacked the formal education and believed it was reserved for others. But God had a different plan.

In 2020, amidst battling my darkest thoughts, a therapist shared a revelation: by confronting my past with openness, my artistic expression would flourish. I laughed inwardly, dismissing the notion. Yet, as I embarked on a journey of healing, I unearthed profound truths about myself.

In December 2021, a divine revelation illuminated my path. Embracing my uniqueness, I found solace in the unconditional love of God. He showed me that everything that happened to me was for a reason. It was in that moment I realized the beauty of my perspective, a reflection of His grace in my photography. My art became a sacred mirror, reflecting the depths of my soul and bearing witness to the transformative power of His presence on my journey.

With newfound passion, I delved into painting, exploring creativity with fervor. But life's fragility soon reminded me of the importance of presence. How well did I truly know my loved ones? Were my ears truly attuned to their unspoken words?

Determined to bridge the gap, I opened my garage to friends, inviting them into my little studio in my garage for art therapy. Together, we embarked on a journey of healing and connection, learning to be present with each splash of paint and heartfelt conversation.

Join me in embracing the artist within and nurturing deeper connections with those we cherish. Let's paint our stories, listen with intent, and celebrate the beauty of vulnerability together.

To be honest, I’m not entirely sure what I’m doing but then again, I don’t think anyone in this space truly knows what they are doing or where they will go. This space is an endless experiment and I am excited to be a part of it.

I’ve found that what brings the most joy is helping people. It’s what fulfills me and gives me purpose. This is why I will be donating a portion of ALL sales to a charity. At the same time, I’ve learned that I need to help myself and I’m hoping that by finally showing my art to the world I will be able to make a living that allows me to continue to create, innovate, and inspire.

I am coming into this project knowing that I will make mistakes, but I will never waver in my promise to work hard and provide value to everything I release.

Therapeutic Color

Someone once told me that when it comes to art, there is no why.

I remember hearing that and thinking, Huh?

I had much to learn.

Art is supposed to evoke a feeling.

My art is inspired by Jackson Pollock.

He said, “The secret of success is to be fully awake to everything about you.” “It doesn't matter how the paint is put on, as long as something is said.”

“Love is friendship set to music.” “Every good painter paints what he is.

My interpretation of this is when you paint.

Live it

Be it

Feel it

Life comes at us sometimes like paint flying towards the blank canvas. We might not always be ready for what comes at us or what hits the ground or splashes on the walls or even misses completely. What it is, it is. What it will be, it was before you even started. So take it all in, let go what needs to be let go and hold onto what brings you joy and meaning. What we feel and what we experience is real. Your life is but a vapor. What is your life?
