Reverie – A New Installation

There are moments as an artist when inspiration strikes without warning. One quiet night, I felt the undeniable urge to create—no plan, no sketches, no rules. I simply allowed the process to guide me. That night, Reverie was born.

This textured work, rich in deep blues and layered blacks, is more than concrete and paint —it’s a visual reflection of that fleeting, yet powerful, state of creative surrender. The title, “Reverie”, captures the dreamlike flow I experienced while making it, where time seemed to dissolve and instinct took over.

Recently installed in a client’s home, the piece now lives in a space where it can spark contemplation and quiet joy. It’s a reminder to embrace those spontaneous moments of creativity, to never resist the pull when the moment arrives.

Art, after all, is not just about the final product—it’s about the freedom to follow inspiration wherever it leads.

Art therapy in my garage.

Discovering the artist within ourselves often comes unexpectedly, in moments of vulnerability and self-discovery. I never imagined I could be an artist; I lacked the formal education and believed it was reserved for others. But God had a different plan.

In 2020, amidst battling my darkest thoughts, a therapist shared a revelation: by confronting my past with openness, my artistic expression would flourish. I laughed inwardly, dismissing the notion. Yet, as I embarked on a journey of healing, I unearthed profound truths about myself.

In December 2021, a divine revelation illuminated my path. Embracing my uniqueness, I found solace in the unconditional love of God. He showed me that everything that happened to me was for a reason. It was in that moment I realized the beauty of my perspective, a reflection of His grace in my photography. My art became a sacred mirror, reflecting the depths of my soul and bearing witness to the transformative power of His presence on my journey.

With newfound passion, I delved into painting, exploring creativity with fervor. But life's fragility soon reminded me of the importance of presence. How well did I truly know my loved ones? Were my ears truly attuned to their unspoken words?

Determined to bridge the gap, I opened my garage to friends, inviting them into my little studio in my garage for art therapy. Together, we embarked on a journey of healing and connection, learning to be present with each splash of paint and heartfelt conversation.

Join me in embracing the artist within and nurturing deeper connections with those we cherish. Let's paint our stories, listen with intent, and celebrate the beauty of vulnerability together.
